Over the past two weeks, Mr. Seth Caudill's HHS PLTW Engineering students presented their culminating Capstone Projects! These high schoolers didn't just study engineering—they applied real-world design, problem-solving, and teamwork to tackle major societal challenges.

Kayden Shultz & Nathan Burns
The Mission: Mitigating the harmful effects of light pollution on human circadian rhythms and wildlife.
The Solution: They engineered an outdoor lighting system designed to reduce light pollution by at least 30%!
🌟 Group 2: "Epione" Medical App 📱
Brianna Chastain, Charli Daniels, & Ethan Romine
The Mission: Simplifying complex medication management and providing vital life-saving knowledge to the public.
The Solution: A mobile health app that guides users through critical first aid situations (like burns and bleeding) and tracks prescription compliance.
🌟 Group 3: Multiple Stimuli Alarm Clock ⏰
Quincy Dooley, Owen Kern, & Josiah Spicer
The Mission: Waking up extremely heavy sleepers who suffer from alarm fatigue and don't respond to traditional sound.
The Solution: A physical robotics device that combines high-fidelity sound with mechanical motion to ensure a reliable wake-up call.
These projects showcase true innovation and prove that our students are officially career- and college-ready.
